Starbucks K-Cups Coming SoonIn case you haven’t heard,  Starbucks Corporation announced recently that the coffee giant will begin producing Starbucks coffee K-Cup portion Ppcks for the Keurig Single Cup coffee brewing system.

In an exclusive license with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. Starbucks K-Cups will be available throughout grocery stores and specialty retailers in the U.S. starting in November 2011.

According to the president of Starbucks Global Consumer Products Group Jeff Hansberry, Starbucks is “excited” to expand it’s presence in the multi billion dollar single cup coffee market.

The K-Cups will launch in food, drug, mass, club, specialty, and department store retailers just in time for the holidays and will be available in Canada in March 2012. Availability at Starbucks retail stores and direct-to-consumer websites in the U.S. and Canada is targeted for later in 2012.

The Starbucks K-Cup Portion Packs will be available in the cmpanies most popular coffee varieties, including Breakfast Blend, Pike Place Roast, House Blend, Sumatra, and French Roast and will be available in 10-count, 16-count, and 54-count packs. Two selections of Tazo tea will also be available in 10-count and 16-count boxes.

In the official Starbucks press release, Jeff Hansberry is quoted as saying “We plan to build Starbucks systemwide sales of K-Cup into a $1 billion business over time.”
